Mineral holotype and cotype collection
The collection of mineral holotypes and cotypes was created as a result of many years of research into new mineral species and previously unknown properties of already known minerals conducted by Croatian mineralogical scientists. They entrusted the original specimens on which the research was based (holotypes and cotypes) to the Mineralogical and Petrographic Department of the Croatian Natural History Museum in Zagreb. Since these are scientifically studied specimens whose results have been published in the most prestigious international scientific journals in the field of mineralogy, their value is exceptional.
