Gušić butterfly collection
This natural history collection is a closed unit. It consists of dry-prepared butterflies collected from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. The majority of the material was collected in Croatia, as well as in Slovenia and Austria.
It was created at the end of the 19th century through the collecting activities of Branimir Gušić. This butterfly collection reflects the state of the fauna at that time and is highly valuable because it allows comparison with present-day conditions, especially since a significant portion of the faunistic records were also published in contemporary scientific literature.
