First place at the /MUSEAR HACKATHON/ workshop
Our museum staff members Petra Šparica, Branimir Ivić and Martin Glavinić, in cooperation with colleagues from the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb — Zorica Babić, Porin Rezniček Ščukanec and Maja Šesnić — won first place at the MUSEAR hackathon workshop.
Following hackathons held by the partners of the MUSEAR project, on 12 and 13 December 2022 at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum in Zagreb, Novena organized a unique free workshop for creating digital narratives in culture, the MUSEAR Hackathon.
This free educational event, which combines IT, art and culture, was intended for curators, museum professionals, educators and creators in the fields of culture and art.
During the two-day hackathon, participants worked with mentors on scenario development, recording and preparation of digital materials, including images, text, sound, video recordings, 3D models and animations, 360 images and 360 videos.
Afterwards, groups of participants designed and created their own digital narratives based on exhibits located in the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum.
After the narratives were created, the presentations were demonstrated in groups and evaluated according to several criteria, after which the winning team was announced. The winning team received support for finalizing the digital presentation created for the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum.
Forms of support may include recording and processing digital materials, advice on technical aspects and narrative structure, as well as assistance in creating more complex scenes and programming.
Registration for the MUSEAR hackathon was free of charge, and participants could take part individually or in groups.
