The Croatian Natural History Museum presents the travelling photography exhibition “Croatian Natural History Museum – Memories” by photographer Ivica Lajtner.
Featuring 18 large-format photographs (100 × 70 cm), the exhibition offers a nostalgic look at the museum’s former collections and interiors as they were known from 1867 until the earthquake of March 2020.
About the Exhibition
Photographer Ivica Lajtner has devoted most of his artistic work to black-and-white photography, using this medium to capture the atmosphere and identity of the old museum. The photographs document exhibition spaces and displays that no longer exist in their original form, preserving an important chapter of the museum’s history.
The exhibition serves as a tribute to the former permanent display of the Croatian Natural History Museum and offers visitors an opportunity to revisit a place remembered by generations.
