Igneous rocks collection
The collection is the result of many years of field research and collecting carried out by all curators of the Mineralogical and Petrographic Department. As previously noted, part of the collection is partially exhibited in the newly opened permanent display of the Mineralogical and Petrographic collections, while the larger part has been moved to storage.
A revision of the material in the Igneous Rocks Collection determined that 736 items have been fully processed, while 4 items are still under preparation. The material revision confirms the presence of 736 inventoried specimens in the igneous rocks collection, and 4 specimens that are undergoing additional scientific analysis by Prof. Dr. Sc. Darko Tibljaš. The collection is fully photo-documented, well preserved, and properly stored.
